🎬 That’s a Wrap! 8 Weeks of Creativity, Confidence and Storytelling

Over the past eight weeks, our young filmmakers have embarked on an incredible journey—discovering the power of storytelling through the lens of a camera and ending the project by creating a documentary while learning the importance of healthy eating.

Throughout the programme, participants explored every stage of the filmmaking process. They learned about the history of cinema, planned stories using storyboards, operated professional cameras and microphones, filmed creative six-shot films, conducted vox pop interviews, and produced documentary-style content. Along the way, they developed new technical skills, worked as production teams, solved creative challenges, and, most importantly, found the confidence to tell stories that matter.

For our final extended session, the group stepped into the kitchen to prepare a healthy vegetable curry. They washed, peeled and chopped vegetables, learned basic cooking skills, and worked together to create a delicious meal. At the same time, they documented the entire experience, capturing interviews, behind-the-scenes moments and the cooking process to produce their very own short documentary.

It has been inspiring to watch each young person grow in confidence, creativity and teamwork over these eight weeks. Seeing them take ownership of the cameras, ask thoughtful interview questions, direct scenes and proudly share their finished work has been the greatest achievement of all.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this programme such a success, and an even bigger thank you to our brilliant young filmmakers. We can’t wait to see where your creative journeys take you next.

🎥 Keep telling stories. Keep creating. Keep believing in your ideas.
